Description
Pick your best photograph that you’d like to make a fabric version of, gather up all your supplies and join us to learn how to recreate the photo in a drawing, then translate it into an applique pattern! You can participate via Zoom, or in person in our LaSalle store. Session one will be November 12th from 1-3. We will mark off your desired finished applique size and make the drawing to that size. (Yes, you CAN do this!). Session two will be November 19th from 1-3. We will take your completed drawing and learn how to translate that into an applique pattern.
You will need: a Light Box, masking tape, charcoal drawing paper at least as big as the applique you want to do, charcoal drawing pencils, a blending stump, a ruler, and a clear plastic sheet the size of your selected photograph. We will use copy paper in the second session.
Create a landscape, do a pet portrait, or go all the way and do a human portrait! The sessions will be recorded and you will receive a link to view them again as needed after class.
