Yes, YOU can take a photograph and make it into a Raw Edged Applique Art Quilt! Want to make a portrait of your dog? Your Cat? Your grandkids?
I will show you how! You will need: Lightbox, Charcoal pencil, sharpener, Charcoal Eraser, Stump, a large Charcoal Paper Pad, a ruler, masking tape, and clear plastic craft sheets and your photograph. (I will also show you an option to use a projector to trace.)
You will draw your image to the size you want to applique, including shading. We will then discuss how to separate the piece into applique shapes, determine the order each will be placed, add overlaps where required, and complete the pattern.
This class will be Virtual ONLY. I will have a camera pointed at my own workstation and will complete each step so that you can see what to do. I will record each segment, and they will be available as a separate link on our Youtube station. This will NOT be available on Learning Library.
The goal of the class will be to complete the PATTERN to make your wallhanging. You can then take it from there to complete the sewing portion.
